Reports

Reports turn the live inventory into something you can send to someone: a spreadsheet for an audit, a summary for a steering meeting, a delta for a patch review.

Generating a report

From Reports → New report, choose:

  1. A template — the layout and the columns.
  2. A scope — the assets to include, expressed as an asset filter.
  3. A format — the output file type.

The report is generated asynchronously; it appears in the report list when ready and can be downloaded from there.

Scope with a saved filter

Reports take the same filters as the asset list. Build and verify the filter in Assets first, confirm the row count looks right, then reuse it for the report — much easier than debugging a filter from a spreadsheet.

Report templates

Templates control the columns and formatting of the output. A deployment ships with a default template, and tenants can define their own.

TODO

Document the template format, how a custom template is uploaded, and which placeholders or column bindings are available.

Scheduled reports

Reports can run on a cadence and be delivered by email, which is the usual way to satisfy a recurring reporting obligation without anyone remembering to do it.

TODO

Confirm the delivery options (email recipients, retention of generated files) and document the schedule configuration.
